An Iraq War veteran who acted quickly during the Las Vegas mass shooting, locating a pick-up truck, loading it with victims of the shooting and driving them to the hospital. And, a psychologist who survived the shooting and now counsels other survivors suffering from trauma and PTSD.

Three good Samaritans who intervened and stopped a man who was beating a woman with a tire iron, restrained the suspect and testified against him at trial.

A recovery professional who happened upon a man intent on jumping off the Coronado Bridge, convinced him not to commit suicide and then helped turn his life around.

The neighbor of a woman who was being stabbed by an intruder, she came to the victim’s defense, was stabbed herself and then faced her attacker in court, helping send him to prison.
